Several of my Hotaling, Hoogteyling ancestors migrated from the Minisink Valley to onondaga County NY in the late 1700.s.  Most interested in learning if they left any traces behind!!

Willing to exchange the genealogy data I have.

Would you by chance have any information regarding one Elizabeth Houghtaling who married a Jacob Lott and subsequently moved from Sussex Co., NJ, to Onondaga Co., NY in the early 1800's.

Best regards

According to the Laura J. Unger "The Houghtaling Family of Pompey/LaFayette NY " published in 1981, Elizabeth Houghtaling is listed as the 4th child of Johathan Houghtaling and Dorothea Middah.

He was born in Minisink, NJ and baptized on 5 July 1747. She was born 16 Nov 1749.  They were married on 8 Jan 1769. While the ms does not list a birthdate for Betsy, it would be most likely be between 1776-9

In 1797, Jonathan along with his second wife, Hannah Cuddeback (a widow) moved with most of his 11 children to LaFayette NY.
The ms. lists Jacob? (SIC) Lott as Betsys' husband.  I did find a Jacob Lott in a transcribed census for Pompey, NY in 1800.

Elizabeth (Betsy) (Hoogteeling) Hotaling is the 3rd great grand aunt of Andrew Leonard Lasda.  Their common ancestors are Jonathan (Hoogteeling) Hotaling and Dorothea Middagh.

If I can be of any further help, let me know.
