I am trying to research a portrait I have of a William Gaston who, according to a note on the back, was Baptized in 1775.  There is also a notation  which indicates that the  portrait was done in 1840, but no other information.... other than an illegible artists name.  I found quite a few William's online, but since I only have his baptism date, it is hard to pinpoint.  Does anyone have information on this William Gaston?  Regards, Joanne
