Hello List,

I am looking for information concerning the Mead/Cornell families of Orange Co., NY.  Christian Mead b. 1814 NY d. 1890 MT s/o ? Mead & Mary/Milly ? Mead.  He was a lawyer but not sure which university he graduated from.  Received his degree sometime from 1835-1840.  Some discovered siblings are Daniel Mead, Socrates Mead b. 1827, Mary/Millie Amee Mead b. 1810.  There are probably other siblings but I don't have the information to list them.  Socrates, sister Mary/Milly A., mother Mary/Milly, and father lived until their deaths in Monroe, Orange County, New York.  Christian moved to Wisconsin in the early 1840s then to Montana during the early 1860s.  He married Ann/Anna Cornell b. 1821 NY d. 1890 WI or NY soon after the 1850 census of Wisconsin. Ann/Anna d/o of Daniel & Sarah Johnson Cornell, Jr.   She was living with Isaac F. & Susan Mead at the time of the census (could be her sister or another of Christian's brothers) Some of her siblings were Susan, Charles, Sarah (don't have my other info in front of me).  Affliated families are: Birdsall, Cheesebro/Cheesebrough, Rider?Ryder.  Have information & pictures, will share.

Thanks so much,
Gwen Dalseg
