              Do you know your lineage back to Jan Gerritsen Decker? I am descended from him through his son Gerrit Janse Decker. I am also descended from Jan Broerson Decker through his daughter Grietje Janse Decker, who married Gerrit Janse Decker. I have a terrible memory but it seems I remember a Floyd Decker in my research (Texas?) anyway e-mail me back with the info that you have so far and we can start from there.

I am new here, but hoping to find a connection.
I am looking for the parents of a Thomas J. Decker born 1813 or so in Luzerne PA.  I have all the information I need on his wife and children all the down to myself.
What I really need is to find his parents ???
His wife is Sarah Bodfish and her parents are Prudence Ingersol and James Bodfish.

I am also looking for information on Benjamin Decker Born May 28 1749, who married a Rachel Brink born abt 1741. He fought in the Revolutionary War and died at age 88 I believe. They had one son that I know of named James born abt 1776.
I have seen information posted about a Benjamin Decker and a Rachel Brink, but those 2 were born abt 1714 or so.  I have no idea if these are the same couple or not.  I am just going on what I have on a DAR application.
Any information would be very helpful.

I am interested in find out if any of you have information on a James Decker that was the Speaker of the House of the Nebraska Territory in 1858.  He lived in Nebraska City.

Iam sorry that it has taken me so long to post back here on the decker geaneology, I finally found my papers that I had . my lineage starts like this,
 Jan Gerritsen Decker born about 07-28-1688 , in Kingston,Ulster County, New York, death ABT. 1779 in Romney, Hampshire County ,West Virginia .Jan then married Barbara Jans Dewitt in 1711 in Ulster County New York . They had 6 children Sarah Decker born 8-1712 ,Garrett Decker born 10-1716, Jan John Decker born 07-06-1719 in Deckertown ,New York ,Elizabeth Decker born 08-1724 ,Luke Decker 08-1727 ,Tobias Decker born 1730 in Ulster County , New York.
Jan John Decker 07-06-1719 was the true pioneer of this branch of the Decker family.  Jan John Decker married Diana Bladina Kuykendall in 1740. They had 11 children  Tobias Decker born abt. 1740 , Elizabeth Decker born 5-22 -1741 in Smithfield , Monroe County , Pennsylvania , Barbara Decker born 10-19-1743 in Walpeck Sussex County , New Jersy ,Joseph Decker born abt. 1747 in Hampshire County ,West Virginia ,Jacob Decker born abt.1748 ,Isaac Decker born abt. 1749 .John Decker born abt.1750 in Hampshire County West Virginia , Abraham Decker born abt. 1753 , Susanna Deckerborn abt. 1755 , Moses Decker 1st born abt 1758 in Hampshire County West Virginia , Luke Decker born abt.1759 in Hampshire County ,West Virginia .  I will be adding to where I have left off , as it is getting late , but Moses Decker 1st was my great grandfather  x?  Please check back in the next few days as im not very good at the typing thing  .
